Thematic Linked Data Matching: an Approach based on Geographic Reference Data
نویسندگان
چکیده
Many resources published on the Web of Data are described by either direct or indirect spatial references. These spatial references can be used for data matching or cartographic visualization purposes. Indeed, they may be used as instance matching criterion: two resources that are very close in space may represent the same thing, or at least they may have some semantic relationship. However, heterogeneities between spatial references may make their use as instance matching criterion not very reliable or even impossible. In this article, we propose to reduce the data matching difficulties caused by the heterogeneity of spatial references by means of a geographic reference dataset. We also propose to take advantage of links created between thematic resources and geographic resources for designing better maps for data visualization.

Interlinking and visualizing linked open data with geospatial reference data
An increasing number of thematic datasets are published as RDF graphs and linked to other datasets by identifying equivalent resources in other relevant datasets. Among the set of properties usually used as data linking criteria, geolocation (addresses, locations, coordinates ) remains one of the most commonly used. However, resources that actually refer to complex topographic features are gene...
متن کاملAn Improved Semantic Schema Matching Approach
Schema matching is a critical step in many applications, such as data warehouse loading, Online Analytical Process (OLAP), Data mining, semantic web [2] and schema integration. This task is defined for finding the semantic correspondences between elements of two schemas. Recently, schema matching has found considerable interest in both research and practice. In this paper, we present a new impr...

The establishment of geographic object based image analysis (GEOBIA) as a group of methodologies for analysing and classifying remotely sensed data as objects suggests accuracy assessment should incorporate some form of geometric validation of the classified objects against the real world objects they are meant to represent. Site-specific accuracy assessment methods, such as those associated wi...

Open Street Map (OSM) is currently the largest collection of volunteered geographic data, widely used in many projects as an alternative to or integrated with authoritative data. However, the quality of these data has been one of the obstacles to the widely use of it. In this article, from among the elements related to the quality of volunteered geographic data, we have tried to examine the com...
متن کاملEvaluation of Similarity Measures for Template Matching
Image matching is a critical process in various photogrammetry, computer vision and remote sensing applications such as image registration, 3D model reconstruction, change detection, image fusion, pattern recognition, autonomous navigation, and digital elevation model (DEM) generation and orientation. The primary goal of the image matching process is to establish the correspondence between two ...
